Uniquely Singapore 3 - Clarke Quay
Here we are, the part 3 of my Singapore trip.
In case you missed the previous parts, here are Part 1 and Part 2
(Note: A lot of pictures)
After eating crabs, Caker and Mr Yam brought us to Clarke Quay for beer. (Wikipedia: Clarke Quay.)
Yes, realized that it was still early. But going to Clarke Quay, we needed to travel from Eunos Station to Clarke Quay Station. (Check out the MRTroute map here)
It was not that far. But it was already almost 7pm when we reached Clarke Quay. The night scenes were beautiful. There were a lot of tourist around. (Yea yea, we were tourist also. Caker called us by ‘tourist’ instead of our names.)

Along the riverside.

This kind of water fountain was quite common at everywhere. Kid’s Fun Place.
We chose to sit down at this place, called - BreWerkz.

The ambiance
Yea, we were sitting at outdoor, wanted to see more things and more people. And off coz, easier for our dear smoking friends. Hehe
Opps… the ‘Thanks for not smoking’ signboard was just right above my head.

Me and my Man.

Me and Caker.
After wondering a while here and there, studied the menu, then we placed our order.

We ordered Draft Set (7 different kind of beer) for each of us. It’s only SGD 10.

I don’t know much about beer. But we got sifu here. Mr Yam was our sifu! He was the master of beer drinking.

Our Sifu - My Yam.

Look at Caker’s Funny face.
After trying out all 7 different taste of beers, we decided to take the 1 of them and ordered a tower - Golden Ale. (Ale is not really beer.)

Yes, a tower of beer. This cost us about SGD 69.90.

Which equivalent to 8 glasses of beer. Golden Ale taste a bit sweet, according to Sifu Yam and Caker, which i dont really know la. I tasted all, they were all about the same. Yea.. i was a total failure i know.
But I only drink 1 glass for the whole section because I was a bit ‘wing wing dei’ already after the draft set, Not Drunk.

Mr Yam, Caker and HK.
Due to I already wing wing dei, i ordered some tidbits to eat. How can i not ordering food, right?

Calamari - The fried sotong
Jim and His Mrs ordered the potato skin.

Beer drinking section ended at about 10pm. 3 hours of beer drinking, are we nuts? Absolutely not, we were having fun chit-chatting and enjoying the views.
Jim suggested that we should go to the other side for a walk. As a “tourist”, how can i say no to that?

The other side seems a lot more interesting.

Jim, Caker, Mr Yam and HK. On the bridge, crossing over to other side of Clarke Quay.

Myself. :p
I’ll continue with lotsa pictures. Basically, we were walking around the whole Clarke Quay.

Clarke Quay

Myself.. again :p

All the pubs has own style and unique-ness. I guess we just went to wrong place for beer. All blames went to Caker !

Do you know how many pictures u had viewed? Exactly 30 pictures.
Till then… we finished our walk at Clarke Quay.

Bye Clarke Quay
We took MRT back Bishan.
I think Clarke Quay is a beautiful version of Bangsar. It was well-designed. It was by riverside. Beer was cheap. So many pretty girls and tourist. I was so attracted to that place. If I had a deep pocket, I will definitely went into each and every bar/pub.
Look, we have been ‘walking’ for a whole day. I was wearing high heels somemore. I was so tired. Needed a rest.
Can’t wait to go home for hot bath, rest my feet and sleep topless… opppsss..
There I ended my first day trip in Singapore.

how can you say you went to the wrong place, brewerkz is like the best place for beer in Clarke Quay, the other places are just nice to hangout. Brewerkz brew their own beer and its nice coz it has a fruity taste to it, thats why some people mix it wit dark ale. The potato skin and buffalo wings are also very good.
