Uniquely Singapore 6 - DIY Steamboat
This will be my final post of my Singapore trip. Thanks for following my Singapore trip since part 1. :p
Recap: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5.
Well, fast forward from ‘yesterday’s geylang tour’, i woke up around 10something in the morning, followed Jim to pasar (market). Caker and Mr Yam was working and my man still sleeping sweetly.
We went to pasar to buy some raw materials for tonight’s steamboat. Jim was the Sifu this time, he can cook a very delicious soup. I still remember the steamboat I had on year 2004 Christmas eve at their house also.

Jim - Christmas 2004
Back from the pasar, me and my man went out for a walk on ourself to the town.
Meeting his brother who is studying at Singapore, at some cafe in the town.
Went to Sim Lim Square near Bugis. It was like the Low Yat Plaza in Malaysia. Selling computers, gadgets, accessories. Nearest MRT station was Bugis.
Meeting my uncle at Eunos MRT Station.

Then my uncle asked us to try on this pancake.

The Pancake Stall
When you order, then only they will start making the pancake. It was so fresh and yummy too. :) We tried all 3 flavor.

After yum char with my uncle, we went back home to help Jim to prepare the Steamboat. He was alone at home preparing. Very nice of him!

Jim’s Homemade Soup and hash brown
Jim’s homemade soup was ichi-ban des neh! I mean GREAT! Tasted 2 years ago, and still as great as I remembered. Thanks Jim!

Caker and HK washing plates

Mr Yam was doing the toughest Job in the world - passing the washed plate to Sheryl to dry it.
I was helping to sweep the floor. :p

Jim, Yo the Man !
This kind of house party was really great. Money cant buy. Everyone had fun.
After eating, somebody has started going kongkam (me simply wanna say “crazy”).
This reminded me back to 2 years ago, they also did the similar thing.

Kong Kam Act 2004 - after steamboat

After Kong Kam, acting cute pulak ! ehee
And now, they were still act the same although everyone was 2 years older.
(Now think of it, was it the steamboat’s problem ? hehehe)

Meng Siang the Eagle?
After gila gila for a while, Mrs Jim suggested we should go for a movie. We went to Tanjong Golden Village at Bishan, Junction 8.

We decided to watch “Sinking of Japan”. The trailer we saw on the TV was interesting. Title also interesting. Story line - OK OK ler. But i felt like i was watching Ultraman like that. Hehe. The seat in the cinema was torturing. It was not theater style.
It will be showing in Malaysia Next month.. i think. :)
My Singapore trip ended here. Are you tired reading them already? Haha, i bet you are.
The next morning, we packed our stuff and get prepared to Kuala Lumpur.
I had bad time taking bus back to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore. A bunch of uncivilized kids jumping, walking in and out, shouting like nobody business at my back of the seat. They pulled my hair (and my man’s hair also) because they were walking in and out. Cannot sit quietly! Kick my seat. Damn Sien! Complained to they parents, and their parents act like “Hello, they were just kids, let them be”.
What the *Tut* ?
By the way, they sound like Indonesian!
************
I’ve spent quite a few hundreds for the whole trip. I am very happy for this trip.
Thanks to my dear who agreed to go on this trip with me. :p
Nicely plan, kudos to Caker and Jim. Sweet memories
Thanks to Caker and Jim who take us around, bring us eat good food, giving out his room for us to stay over. A gazillion thanks!
