My name is Cely

It has been a while since I posted the poll - “How do you read my name - Cely ?”, I wanna find out how many of you read it correctly as my way. [thank god there are still have people read it my way]

Cely might not be readable or it might not even be an english word, but I like it as a word and as my name.

My friends who’ve knew me more than 10 years, like Syen, she will call me by my chinese name - Ching Ling 庆龄. Some of my cousins make fun of my chinese name, they call me ching ting 蜻蜓… :sad:

I’ve been using Cely as a name for people to call me for about 8-9 years for easy remembrance. They might not spell it my way for the first few times but that does not really matter, coz I’ll tell them to spell it Cely. I would be thankful if they called me by Cely (Read as Sally) and not those funny funny names like those I listed in my poll.

It’s totally not funny. If you already heard me introduce myself as Cely (and read as Sally), PLEASE don’t be so smart and called me the way you want. Please respect me and my name. You don’t want people make fun of your name isn’t it. :)

If you don’t mind what people calling you, that does not mean I should not mind also. Am I right? I don’t mind you make fun of other things, but certainly not my name. If you haven’t heard me saying my name before, and you pronounced it wrongly, it’s okay. I will not blame you.

So, now you know. Read it my way and spell it my way. Thank you. I’d really appreciated it a lot because you show respect.
