Penang is all about food

Since we were staying at G Hotel at Gurney, which was only 5 minutes walk to the famous gurney drive, we had our first Penang meal there, right after the check in.

It was still quite early for the stalls to be open for business, it was only around 5pm. More than 50% of the stalls were still close.

We fast fast grabbed food like char kuay tiao, asam laksa, rojak, otak-otak, siput duri, longgan taufa, penang hokkien mee (prawn mee)… a lot right?

Siput Duri

I did not eat this siput duri, which was belle’s favourite. I find it ugly and erm… did not seems tasty to me. Hehehe. Somemore very hard to eat it one.

That meal was taken at about 5pm. Then we walked back to hotel and rest, waiting for the dinner where Lilian promised to bring us to eat Char Kuay Teow.

Around 7.30pm, Lilian came with her ATM and her cute son, brought 4 of us to this hawker stalls - New Lane.

Wei, the char kuay teow has super huge prawn! Look yummy-licious! With the crab meat as topping.

The next morning, Lilian brought us to eat the famous Penang Nasi Kandar. We met up with Boss, Nicole and the hot Samantha. The nasi kandar was spicy enough and many thanks to Lilian’s hubby, he paid for the breakfast. Having the hassle to fetch us from hotel, bring us around and somemore chia us makan! hehehe

We should also thanks to Erina and her husband, who brought us to makan and chia us too. We were brought to another hawker centre (the commercialized one), I cant remember the name, but it was at the clubbing area.

The Fried Oyster tasted okay. I don’t really like the big big oyster, quite geli to eat it. :p

Thanks again Erina, it was pleasure to meet you, your hubby and your 2 cute children!

Anyway, our Penang makan trip does not end there, we went to eat the famous asam Laksa and cendol before we leave Penang. It’s like a must everytime we travel to Penang.

We did order the Char Kuay Teow, but you know, the boss kept on forgetting our orders, for twice.

The Asam Laksa! Can’t get enough of it, Belle leave her ulcer behind, Earl leave his big big zit behind too.

And there, our mission accomplish. I know there are still plenty to try out. But, you know, we don’t have much friends who had time to bring us makan around.

By eating all these, I suppose I gained few KGs.

Thanks again, Lilian and Erina. Aunties Rox!!
