Random Stuff

I have been staying at Singapore for more than 1 month. It’s not hard to blend into the busy life here. Although I haven’t got a job, but I have been gaining weight by sitting at home being couch potato! Darn!

Speaking of couch potato, I show you all one funny commercial that all of us (Me, Hongkiat, Caker and Jim) have been enjoying the most. Everytime this is playing on the TV, we will pause a while to watch this commercial. It successfully grab away all our attention. Telco (StarHub and SingTel) here are doing ‘bao ka liao’ service – cable tv, telephone fixed line, mobile services, internet service. You can pay all your watch, talk and surf in one bill.

Creative hor?

Another creative product they produce is the very localize soft drink. I think some of you might have already seen or read it somewhere(Boss Stewie and Syen also blogged about it already), the Whatever and Anything drink. So, no more worries what to order liao. Oh, apparently they have the commercial too, very funny also.

Damn Hilarious lo!

One more thing also damn funny one. There are some of the people like to pee in the elevator till the government put up the signboard and even ‘urine detection device’ (sound canggih neh) in the elevator! I’ve seen the signboard in the elevator at those HDB Flats. Of course, you will get fine for doing that – that’s if you get caught. This warning is giving to guys only la, girls can’t possibly pee there, you know how troublesome for girls to pee la. Can’t believe this is happening.

In the ‘kiasuland’, some of the food are prepared in a very big portion. The other day we went to North Point for dinner, the Nasi Kandar stall always got long queue one, but that day the queue was short, so Hongkiat decided to give that nasi kandar a try. He then came back with very big rectangle place.

Banana Leaf Nasi Kandar

A lot of Nasi Briyani, with papadam, vegetable and 2 big drumstick. Wah lau eh. Almost like 2 person meal already. I definitely cannot finish it by myself. Caker always said “Singpaorean Kiasu ma, so all the food very big portion.” Not to say it’s not good, but very generous lo, and price is cheap. I still can order $2 Mee Hun Kuay! Super cheap and nice. Haha.

One last thing before the entry end. I saw this ‘banner’ in the MRT, I know I saw this somewhere before, but can’t remember where did I see it. Everytime I see this name, I would read it as “Abothen”, can’t help it. The famous phrase that we used in our daily conversation.

Aberdeen

I know it does not sound anything near “abothen”, just like the word “sorbet” I saw in shopping mall, can’t help it but to read it the way I first saw the word, naturally.
