Haunted Laptop
Yesterday when I back home from work, I checked my laptop and I felt it was quite heat up (Coz I leave it on to download some stuff while I went to work) . So I off it and went for dinner. 1 hour later, I tried to turn on my laptop, it showed me red screen instead of the normal black screen during the startup. Damn Scary lor!
Then I decided to go on with my ‘usual’ activity. I surf net as usual. Everything was working fine except the screen color. White background became cyan.
By looking at those weird color screen, I felt really sad liao and confirmed that it really went haywire liao. Hongkiat also don’t know what happen to it. He went and google about it. There were some similar cases, it was some error about the LCD screen.
So, Hongkiat suggest he will send the laptop to the repair shop during his lunch time (today).
Amazing things happen at Hongkiat’s office. He turn on the laptop for a final check and the laptop was OKAY. Normal! Working perfectly. No red color screen. No cyan color! It seems like nothing happen!
You TELL me la, was it my laptop kena haunted? You experienced this before? Why is this happening? What cause it?

Hm… i think it’s not haunted la… Most likely the ribbon connector for the screen is loose already, so when HK moved it to test at office that time, maybe jolted or what and the wire is back to order so it’s working fine again. Happens to phones with flips most of the time(at least, most if not all of my flip phones start having this problem after like 3-4 years of use)
How old is the notebook already anyway?

bang it on the wall a few times. and it’ll be fine.. he he.. maybe it means your notebook is old already.. time to get a new one

hmm…i think the lcd going to “gong” already..coz is the same thing for tv,overheat or too old,some component in it might just got little problem that some time will cause the screen to become abnormal..my tv need to warm up b4 I can actually watch it..so wat do u think..

Is your laptop under warranty, if it is, just claim lo… or like Dell, you can extend your warranty, then u know-what-to-do la.. :P

yes i experience this before my project presentation, the laptop couldn’t boot to normal Windows, can only boot to safe mode, luckily can still do presentation, but with less colours. brought it to shop to try to repair but useless. but funny thing is after a while it was back to normal, maybe laptop haunted as well?

the last time my handphone screen turned colour and returned back to normal, it turned all white the next week.. and bcz its an old model, no LCD replacement, i hav to use some cash to buy a new phone…

you close the lid?
cos me also.. last time.. rush somewhere.. and close the lid and put into the bag.. cos it will be in hibernate mode once close the lid..
when reach fren house.. thought want continue my work.. and to my horror.. the notebook was burning hot.. T-T and when open back.. the hibernate came back.. but screen was full of weird colour patches… ..
so swithced off.. and after cool down.. i open back.. and lucky for me it was back to normal T-T for me it was the heat i think…
heat + lcd = ??? :D
