My new Canon Ixus 860 IS
Yatta! I bought myself a new digital camera - Canon Ixus 860 IS. Thanks to Hongkiat. An early Christmas present? hehe
About 4 months ago, my digital camera (Casio Exilim) suddenly gone haywire. All the shots I took, came out like ghost picture. I haven’t send to workshop. Will send it to my friend the next time I go back KL.
So, I can’t wait for it and I was tempted to buy this Canon Digicam also.
The camera was handsome! Ho ho ho!
Oh, I am not going to do the review. There are a lot of professional and good review on the internet, google it.
I am happy with the camera so far. Taken 250 pictures for the day I bought it. Posted some at my facebook photo.
If you are interested to buy, I can tell you the price I get for this one.
SGD 622 includes 2 x 2gb Memory card, Digital Camera Kit (include a bag, mini tripod), Additional Battery (bought it upon the purchase with cheaper price) and of cause the GST of 7%.
Therefore, I pokkai*! At the very same day I bought my new camera.
*pokkai: It is in cantonese. Initially, it means fell down. Later, people use the phrase when describing they are poor. Sometimes, people also use the word pokkai to scold people.

Hmmm the symptoms you described happening to your Casio Exilim sounds very familiar.
I have a friend who bought one too, and she described it almost exactly like you - all the pictures came out very white, like overexposed. Your description of “ghost picture” sounds like what she described.
Ah well, glad you have a new toy. I own an older Canon camera, the Digital Ixus 60, and I love it! Hope you love your new one!

Hey, i was googling on the Ixus 860 and i came across your blog. i’m thinking of getting one. may i know where did you buy your camera from? i’m heading to Sg next week and i might be able to purchase one there if the price is better than Msia. from what you wrote here, you got a pretty great deal. was wondering which shop did you get it from? =) Thanks

nLeen: The one i bought, sgd 622, included 2×2gb SD memory card, 1 additional battery (cheaper price when u purchase the camera)and 1 camera kit bag (cleaning kit and mini tripod).. oh and off coz, 7% gst.
I asked the same model when i went for PC fair, the price was not very much different when u converted the sgd622 to RM.
