Andaraya conversation with Cely about Bad Bus Service [My Thought]

This entry is written by hongkiat.

If you’ve read about the bad bus services we received during our KL->Singapore trip, you should have now know that operation manager of Andaraya, Sabran Mohd Hamzah left a message in the entry, asking Cely to call him back for further discussion on the matter. Cely did, and here’s the results based in my perspective.

Content Vulgarity

Sabran Mohd Hamzah claims that the entry was written with massive vulgar word, and he used the word “uncivilized” to describe it. I do admit it contains vulgar words, and Cely can (and will) remove these words out that blog entry. However I don’t think using foul language is considered uncivilized, at least not to that extend. Else perhaps there’s not much civilized people left in KL? Maybe all my friends were uncivilized also. Taking the fact that you are getting cheated of by paying RM50 on a 40-seaters, any normal homo-sapient will swear; either in the heart, or like me, curse them during the entire bus trip. Cely choose to write it out in her blog, I don’t blame her.

It’s not the driver’s fault

Sabran may have interpret the entire story wrongly as he keep on asking Cely the details of the driver. It is not the fault of the bus driver, he’s just someone who drove from KL-> Singapore and simple as that. So who’s fault is it? I’ll let you be the judge.

In a nutshell, we paid RM100 (RM50×2) for bus tickets, promised to be 20+ seaters, end up in a 40-seaters. Not to forget the bus did not come punctually on time (which is 2.30pm), and we have to make our way back to counter to ask, and being paten-passed by agents to agents to another location, end up in a 40-seaters with no extra seats. I had to take the initiative to ask the whoever-ticket-collector to get us a side by side seat. Also when Cely request an explanation why is things such, all the ticket collector said is “either you get up or go back to the counter and ask for refund“.

Best Boon Enterprise and ANDARAYA, You are such a Conman(bus agent)!

I just got back from my home town, Kuala Lumpur. This bus trip (from KL - Sin) was really an unpleasant one. Disastrous!

2 weeks ago:

I asked Syen to buy me bus tickets from Pudu Raya, she is my best friend plus secretary at Kuala Lumpur. :p But she was inexperienced in buying bus tickets there, so I named her a few companies. But all those tickets for my selected time were sold out. Without having any idea which bus company to buy from, she randomly selected this bus agent, Best Boon Enterprise and Andaraya was the bus name. The bus ticket was very expensive for a 26-seats bus, it was RM50 per seat. Since Syen was inexperienced and she remembered I told her the price for 26 seats bus was about RM30-35, so she asked the guy at the counter why is it so expensive. The guy told her there were not much buses going to Singapore lately therefore the price went up. Because I don’t have much choice, so Syen finally bought the tickets from that counter.

The actual day (23rd March 2008):

Bus will departed from Puduraya at 2.30 pm, I reached Puduraya about 2pm and search for the ticket counter to get the bus number (car plate number). The lady at the counter wrote some number at my tickets and asks us (me and Hongkiat) to wait for the bus at Maybank Tower.

It’s so frustrated to find the bus in nowhere near the Maybank tower. Already 2.30pm, the bus stills nowhere to be seen. I already don’t feel good about this. Firstly, it’s unknown bus agent, Andaraya.. Dunno what is that, never heard of it. Secondly, it’s selling so expensive and I was getting 26 seats. For that price, I can get a very luxury bus already, only 18 seats, got small tv and bigger space. Thirdly, the bus is not punctual. I have no faith in it, AT ALL!

So me and Hongkiat fast fast rushed back to the counter and prepare to scold the lady. Before we could say anything, she seems to know why are we coming back to her and she talk in walkie-talkie to locate the bus. In just 5 seconds, a guy seems like person in charge point us to another lady, he said that lady will bring us to the bus. So we follow without hesitation.

Finally, we found the bus. The bus was stopped outside puduraya, opposite of Maybank tower. The bus was not printed Andaraya like the picture I saw at the counter. Again, did not feel good liao. The lady passed us to another guy who collected our tickets. I asked a few simple questions like is the bus going straight to Singapore without stopping at Larkin (JB), is the bus passing Tuas (second link) or Woodlands custom before I enter the bus.

Once I get on the bus, I was totally shocked to find that this is nothing like what I suppose to get. THIS IS A BUS KILANG! Or maybe better, a SCHOOL BUS! A bus with 40-seats!!!!!! The bus was already full with passengers, well, almost. I can’t find a 2-seats in a row at all. Hongkiat went back to the guy and demand him to find us 2 seats.

I was supposed to get a bus with 2-1 seats in a row bus. It means 3 seats a row and 9 rows bus! Not this stupid school bus lookalike!

I can’t stand it. I felt cheated! I straight away went to confront with the guy.

Like this like that

Yesterday afternoon, me and Hongkiat went to this Ah Huat Pan Mee Stall. Somewhere that we always go for lunch/dinner. The delicious Pan mee like home-made one.

There was a Malay stall in the same kopitiam. So there was this Malay lady cleaning up the table, at the same time another Chinese Auntie came clean up her glasses. They were both working there.

The Chinese auntie was pushing the chairs while she was getting the glasses. So I guess she annoyed the Malay lady who was cleaning up the table, therefore the lady ’shouted’ at her.

“Auntie, why you like this like this?!” The lady was showing to that auntie how impolite was she pushing the chairs.

“I where got like that like that!!?” Auntie was defending herself.

“Yes, you got like this like this !!”

“No lar, I where got like that like that!!?? ” Still denying.

Throughout whole conversation, I only heard Like this like this and like that like that.

Come to think of it, if you are not looking at them, only listen to what they are saying, it’s actually quite funny. Because you have totally no idea what they are arguing about! The whole conversation is meaningless! Haha.

Free Black Coffee from Starbucks

HooHoo ! Another round of free drink from Starbucks. Last time Starbucks offer free drinks (Any beverages that available at Starbucks) when you make donation for Salvation Army.

So, boss was coming back to office from downstairs, announcing the news that Starbucks was giving out coffee for free, ask us to go get ourself a cup of coffee. So, all of us (literally all of us in the office) went out to the starbucks to get the free coffee. The duration for this free coffee only last for 2 hours, which was from 10am till 12pm.

Well, I didn’t know they offer black coffee until I reach the counter. I thought it was like last time, they will offer any drinks. Anyway, black coffee is never my favourite, but I thought I wanna give it a try.
