Taiwan Trip Part 3

It’s my day 4 at Taiwan for this post. I can tell you that we are getting more used to the weather.

We were lucky that during the photoshoot day, it was not raining whole day like the first 2 days.

As for the day 4, it no longer raining. It’s a good day for shopping. :p

We started off our day by eating breakfast at hotel. As you know, it was still quite early as we stepped out the hotel. It was just about 10am.

Posing in the MRT.

We then went to CKS Memorial Hall. Spent almost an hour taking pictures there.

I thought “Okay, that’s CKS Memorial Hall”. That’s all. Just for the sake of “Oh, okay.. that’s it. I’ve been there.” You know, that kind of feel. :) I am so shallow.

From the pictures, you can tell that the weather was so cloudy till you can’t see sun or cloud or blue sky. Not sure if you like it, but it’s definitely chilling. No sweat. Therefore all my pictures were with that kind of sky as background. Not really nice.

Before going for lunch, we did a little shopping for my inner wear. :p Pushy pushy and Deep V. Shiok sendiri looking at my cleavage. (Not going to show anyone but me). Pity HK lost his patience waiting for us.

After the shopping, we went to Mr J Restaurant at Guang Fu Nan Lu for light lunch. The restaurant was owned by HK’s idol - Jay Chou. We had some hard time looking for the restaurant. After asking for directions, we managed to find it.

Taiwan Trip 2009

It was not outstanding at all. You could have passed by without even noticing it. It looks like it was closed.

Taiwan Trip 2009

Who would have notice the restaurant from a street that look like this?

Before flying to Taiwan, I thought of making a reservation to this restaurant. Luckily I did not. It was almost empty when we reached there.

I think it’s quite suitable to come for yum char if you need a quiet place. It’s definitely quiet and comfortable. With pretty waitress serving you. Haha.

Food was normal. Nothing to shout about. But it was quite cheap. Not to say it cheap like ru rou fan, but for a set meal, it was about NT135 per set. Reasonable la. I was so surprised that the restaurant was empty during lunch time. Overrated hor?

After lunch, we headed to the ladies’ heaven - Wu Fen Pu. Since it’s ladies heaven, HK said he prefer to go back hotel to sleep. I think he made a right choice.

Taiwan Trip 2009

We spent 3 hours walking around Wu Fen Pu. I bought only few pieces of cloth. Not as much as my Bangkok trip. Things were as cheap as Bangkok, but I can’t see something that attracted me very much. The fashion were young, flowery, a lot of accessories. I m someone who like dress to be very simple, I don’t need flowery printing all over the dress, i dun need lace, I dun need too many details.

Suddenly I miss Bangkok. I even bought more during my HK trip. Oh Gosh. Anyway, the most that I spent during this Taiwan trip was skin care products. haha.

3 hours of walking can be quite tiring. Luckily it was not crowded during weekdays. 3 of us then went for light meal at this very sweet cafe - Hello Kitty Cafe, A cafe with Hello Kitty Theme.

Taiwan Trip 2009

Now, this is what you call outstanding.

Taiwan Trip 2009

Very cute neh… I mean both Stacey and the shop.

Taiwan Trip 2009

Not sure how many people can stand the pink-ness and sweet-ness of Hello Kitty. I am a fan of pink and Stacey is a fan of Hello Kitty.

Yes, basically everything is pink and Hello Kitty. Very nicely arranged and put. I can only see girls in the restaurant.

Everything was so sweet. Cake was sweet, drinks were sweet, waitress was sweet, decorations also melt my heart, pinkish design also very sweet. Easily fall in love at first sight.

According to the cute waitress, each of the customer must spend a minimum of NT300 in the restaurant. Therefore, each of us order a set of cake with a drink. I get a bit annoyed by the ‘house rule with minimum spending of NT300′. What if I cant finish the piece of cake by myself? I really thought of sharing the cake with my friend, then how? Sienz.

Taiwan Trip 2009

We went back to hotel for a short rest and woke HK up to go to our next destination - Dan Shui Lover’s Bridge.

Weather was already very cold, but having the wind blow right on your face was totally not fun at all. (But still okay la, I miss that kind of feeling now when I m writing this, Singapore is freaking hot.)

It was so cold that we must ordered hot drinks.

So warm hugging each other. :)

Taiwan Trip 2009

If you still have no idea who she was, she is HK’s mom, my future mom-in-law. I know, everyone says she looks very young. :)

We took a bus ride back to Dan Shui Mrt Station.

Spent almost 2 hours there. Wind blowing made everyone headache. We were back to Ximending for supper.

Taiwan Trip 2009

This 盐水鸡 (spicy and salty chicken) very nice. He told us we will definitely go back for him after first trying. Guess what, he got us right. We wanted to look for him the next day. But too bad, all these mobile stalls will disappear from time to time because there were police patrolling around. Miss the 盐水鸡 very much. :)
