Yokoso Japan – Tokyo Disneyland
I woke up early in the morning because I was very excited about Disneyland trip. I’ve booked 2 nights hotel room nearby Disneyland so that we don’t have to travel back to Ueno after long day at Disneyland.
To travel to Disneyland from Ueno, we gotto take the MRT. I finally encountered and learned what I saw from Youtube years ago. The video that show how busy and crowded is the train during rush hour.
We got no choice but being push into the train. Well, our situation was not as bad as the video, but very similar.
When I was in the train being sardine, I then realized I was the only woman around. Then I remember there were some compartments for women in the train during rush hour to prevent being molest.
Alright, back to Disneyland. We travel from Ueno Station to Tokyo Station, then take Keiyo Line to Maihama Station. The travel time was about 40 minutes.
After that, we took a shuttle bus from Maihama Station to Sunroute Plaza Tokyo Hotel to check in our bags first. It was the hotel with cheapest room rate around Disneyland.

Both of us occupied the shuttle bus. It was Mickey themed.

We bought our 2 days-passport (to Disneyland and Disneysea) from the Hotel for 10,000 yen per pax. Then we took the shuttle bus back to Disneyland.
We decided to go Disneyland for the first day and Disneysea for second day. The 2 day-passport only permitted 1 park entry per day.

It was a Tuesday and so crowded. Oh, I think it was school holiday in Japan.

Upon enter to the park, I saw my fat Pooh! Felt so excited, I told Hongkiat I want to take photo with Pooh. But I changed my mind when I saw the long queue. The queue can easily kill 1 hour of our time.

I rather spend the 1 hour time exploring. Afterall, I took picture with Pooh bear before in Hongkong Disneyland.

While walking towards the main hall, we saw an old fairy. I don’t really remember what character was she.

Not much people queue for her, so I just took a chance to snap photos with her.

I think this is a must spot for every one! :) Taking photo with the big Tokyo Disneyland Board.

Tokyo Disneyland was way huge and a lot bigger than Hong Kong Disneyland. At least 3 times bigger, I think. The crowd was 20 times more than what I saw in Hong Kong Disneyland.
I was truly impressed. I felt really happy like a little girl once entered to the park. The surrounding music really make people happy. Hehe.

Saw the castle?

Although this is like the indoor hall, but it still an open space. It’s still very cold.

They have lost child center. Oh, see the side where all the strollers park? That’s stroller park!
We decided to have the breakfast before walking further. It’s so hungry as we did not eat anything since wake up.

Hongkiat’s order – Beef and soft boiled egg.

The york was half boiled! How did they do that? The color was so vibrant.

My order – Minced meat and scrambled egg rice.

They tasted good. Ordinary good la.

Our mission for the day was to explore the park as much as we can, we decided not to take any ride, as you can see, looking at the crowded, I believe all the queues will definitely take more than 2 hours at least.
Look at the above picture, people were queuing up for popcorn. -_-! Long queue somemore.

A lot of the youngsters were dressed up to enter Disneyland. I love the spirit lor. Semangat!

Cute hat!

Cute hair band!

Cute kid!! Nicely dressed up and come to happy land!

Some parents were really brainless, bring your kid to the smoking area? Anyway, that’s not really the point of this photo taken at the first place. It was about the kid’s outfit! She is so cute right? Donald little duck!

There will be a parade show in about 1 hour time. People start ‘chopping’ they seats already. Being in Kiasuland for 2 years plus, I learned quite some kiasu skill already one.

But let us just take few photos with the Halloween Themed garden before chopping our seats to watch the parade.

So cute~

Oh yea, I bought the mickey Hat for myself. Can’t help it. Although I am not a hat person. And I think I wear it weird. But it’s something ‘now or never’ do kinda stuff. Not like I am going to wear this hat anywhere else than Disneyland.

After chopping our seats and getting freeze a bit sitting at the open space like that, we started to observe the surrounding people. By the way, we were sitting on the benches not on the floor.

It will be really nice if your gang also dress up. I really enjoy looking at them and keep looking for more.

Pretty chic.

Some grumpy kid, caught her emotion at the right moment. :p

Toy Story family! So cute lo. The family squatting actually do not know the gang standing behind, they just take photo together. Both parties so happen to wear Toy Story themed costumes.
Disneyland allow visitors to wear costumes but not full costume. It was really fun spotting visitors with costumes.

Hongkiat likes to snap photo of kids. :p

Aladdin and …. the queen in Alice in Wonderland?

Cool hair style, looking emo there.

Stitch Hat also cute right…I was tempted to buy the pink minnie hat but a bit too kiddy for me.

They have special area for wheelchair people. Very caring.

Then some staff came out to teach everyone how to dance for a song which will be playing later when the parade start.

He is old but very energetic.

Cutie pumkin outfit.

The parade start! I don’t think we need much description here. Just view the photos below.

The parade show last for about 30 minutes.

It’s always a chaos after a show.

People everywhere and we don’t know where to go next.

I love all the shops there. Although they are selling almost the same thing, but I still manage to buy something every shop I went in. Amazing huh. I bought only Pooh related merchandise.

The weather was so cold that both of us bought a sweater from those shops. Heat pack also can’t help much.

The sky was moody. The castle was a lot bigger than the one in Hong Kong. Arghh, I miss Tokyo Disneyland.

Remember the Toy Story Family? Hehe, I asked to take photo with them. They were all happy to do so.

All these people were lepaking in front of the castle. I just simply asked for photo taking.

They never reject your request. They were more than happy to do so. Ever posing for you.

We crossed the castle to enter another side. This was taken behind the castle.

Stroller Park. Really cute.

Look at the queue. Fainted lor.

Flying Dumbo.

If you were thinking to get fast pass, erm, it’s too late even it was only 1pm. The fast passes were out for the day. You gotto queue up for the ride, and the standby time – 160 freaking minutes at least!
Anyway, we were not too upset about not taking any rides. The rides were not thrill anyway. We were taking our own sweet time exploring the whole Disneyland.

The Halloween decoration were still hanging there even the Halloween has passed.

Initially I want to change my mind and plan to queue up for this ride. At least it looks thrill to me.

But the queue was really loooooong. Average standby time was 3-freaking-hours. I can’t afford to waste my time queuing. I don’t visit Disneyland as frequent as the Japs.

This side of Disneyland was especially crowded. I have no idea why.

We decided to take a short rest after walking for 2 hours. It was drizzling a bit that time.

Some random kid photo. :p

This photo was a bit weird because the map has covered the person’s face and left only monster inc character hat.

Random shot with Jap chic.

He swear that he will only wear this sweater for one time only.

I wonder how many people will actually buy those balloons.

Street performance at main street.

We walked back to the main hall. Went into shops again.

Pooh bear balloons. Haha, not going to buy off coz.

They were not hired by Disneyland, purely visitors. But the yellow dress chic very pretty hor!

Another street performance. He is a pianist riding a bicycle. So it’s mobile.

Kawaiii neh.

His performance was great. Very lively. Full of face expression.

It’s about 5pm already. We thought of take at least 1 ride at the end of day. Taking the train ride which will round the whole Disneyland. Look at the queue. OMG.

The biggest stroller park I saw for that day.

It has been 30 minutes since we start queuing.

This was about 40 minutes.

After 1 hour of queuing, finally can get on board. Okay la, get to see the park as whole, relax ride.

Random shot during the train ride.

The beautiful castle at night. I plan to find a good spot to watch fireworks later. Also decided to wait 1 hour prior the fireworks.

We tapao-ed this cute Mickey hand bun.

Camwhoring while waiting for the fireworks. The weather was a lot colder at night. The palms were literally freezing. The heat pack macam kena freeze also.
While waiting for the fireworks, they have an Electrical Parade that last about 30 minutes. It started at 7.30pm. They were beautiful. The surrounding was dark, everyone just focus on the car that pass by.

So Cute! My Favourite.

Nemo!

Beautiful isn’t it?
And guess what, it decided to start raining sharp at 8pm. The fireworks was canceled due to heavy rain! We waited in front of the beautiful castle for 1 hour under the cold weather freezing myself there waiting for the POURING RAIN?
Very sad lo. I flew all the way from Singapore. See no fireworks. *cry*
The heavy rain did not seems to stop at all even after 15 minutes. We stand under the roof with wet cloth under cold weather for about 30 minutes. We decided to run to the bus stop to take shuttle bus back to hotel.
Finally we got back to our hotel. It took about 1 hour to wait for the shuttle bus because of raining and a sudden crowd that caused a long queue for the shuttle bus.
This hotel room was so much spacious that the one we stayed at Ueno. I will post that in later post.
This side of the hotel was all cruising cabin themed which the rooms with lowest rate in the hotel. Since we stay outdoor almost a day, we don’t really need luxury room. This room is comfy enough.

Stay tune for Disneysea post~ It will be next.
