Maldives, Anantara – Heaven on Earth
Towards the end of my post, there are few things I would like to highlight to friends who wish to go to Maldives in future.
Based on my little research, the best time to go Maldives would be November till March. Because the monsoon season will be about May till September. You will notice all the resorts at Maldives will be doing promotion during this period.
In which, off coz it’s budget to go at this period. You gotto give and take, non-peak season = cheaper = rainy/windy/moody/gloomy sky.
If you notice, a lot of my pictures are without blue sky.
Regarding the resort, actually you can choose any resort that you like. It’s just so happen that I found Anantara. After doing some comparison with other resorts, I chose Anantara because:
1. They allow us to access to another island (own by Anantara) and it’s near.
2. By accessing to another island, it means we will have more choices on the restaurant, in other word, we do not need to eat at the same place for every meal. This enhance the dining experience.
3. Cheaper room rate compare to other resorts.
4. Got attracted by the over-water bungalow. Other resorts offer over-water villa too, but higher rate.
5. Good reviews at tripadvisor.
I have to say I am impressed by the services of Anantara because,
1. They greet you with smile. Staff at the restaurants will greet you by the first name even though we never met. It’s like overnight, they gotto remember all the guest’s names.
2. The little surprises in the room. I really appreciated the effort they put in.
3. In the email during booking, I’ve asked for a room with more privacy. They replied saying they will try to get me a room with more privacy. Upon arrival, they informed us they have upgraded our room to a better one and with more privacy. The best of all, free of charge.
4. We bumped into the resident manager few times when we exploring the island, he will definitely talk to us, try to recommend us things to do on the island. I understand that is some PR skill, but we do feel good about it. I went to Bintan Banyan Tree before, I never get this treatment. :)
5. During our meals at restaurant, the F&B Manager also talk to us, asking if we are happy with the food and they are very concern about our satisfaction. Even the chef of the restaurant will come out after the meal and ask our opinions.
6. The Staff at restaurants/bar will try their best to talk to us, telling us about Maldives. We always ask questions about the island. Try to understand more about Maldives. One time at the bar, the staff came and show us magic trick. He said he had just learn a magic trick and would like to show us. Well, why not? :)
We both really felt good about how we treated at Anantara Resort. Besides enjoy the stunning views, the service is ichi-ban as well! A recommended resort and place for honeymoon.

Hope to visit Maldives again in the future. :)
