General Taste

There were times that I met someone who was carrying the same bag as I did, wearing the same shirt as me, wearing the same dress when I walked on the street.

How do you react when you saw someone wearing the same shirt as you? Embarrassing? Erm, a bit la, erm.. yea… quite la. But I wont hide or walk further just to avoid the person, at least not doing it on purpose ler.

Having someone carrying the same bag with me, wearing same watch (the model), or using the same (model) ipod as I am using, I wont be so paiseh. But hor, when bump into someone wearing the same dress as me, I felt quite paiseh.

I am sure you know how it feels like, right?

Recently I’ve bump into 2 girls wearing same dress as me on my way to work, in different day la. For the first time, I was okay. For the second time, I felt like, “Oh My god, Not again!”

I told hongkiat about this incident, he laughed at me, saying “Because you all have general taste, common!” But I defended saying that dress was cheap and I bought it at Isetan, so should not be surprise to bump into these girls. I am thinking to wear that dress lesser, but it’s quite hard not to bump into people who wear the same thing as you, right? Especially Singapore is this SMALL! Moreover I am not rich enough to buy designer shirt/dress. Sigh.

Sheryl was even ‘worst’ than me, she was once wearing some dress to work and one of her colleagues also wearing the same dress at the same day (only different color), she was embarrassed to the max. She swear that she will never wear that dress anymore.

What about you? Are you having GENERAL TASTE buying what everyone else is buying? Haha !

How do you handle critics?

1. Cry. Who cares? Just cry out loud.

2. Piss off and keep repeating “Where got such thing? I am so good, how can they do this to me? They don’t f*ucking understand at all!”.

3. Keep on defending, saying how powerful you are, how nice you are, how pretty you are, etc etc.

4. Say thank you and smile back. Then start thinking why people critics, see if the critics reasonable and do a proper improvement.

5. Silent. and remain silent. Do nothing about the critics.

6. Get more people to support you then start critics the opposite party as revenge. Basically, start a war.

7. Blackmail the party that critics you. Find their faults.

8. Kill the opposite party.

9. Celebrate, because “Critics are our friend”.

10. Put a spell on the opposite party. Ngek Ngek Ngek. Curse them!!

11. Best of all, when people can’t stand critics, they go SUICIDE! This is the most stupid move.

But where do you get critics from most of the time? Your friends? True Friends? Enemies? Parents? Teachers? Partner? Media?

Does not matter, tell me how u handle critics. I guess I will do some of the above, but not to the extend of killing lives.

On My Own

My dear friends, I am taking bus (11pm) to Singapore tomorrow. Will go Singapore with HongKiat and Caker.

Not to say I will not be back, but I am going to miss my family for a while, my jimuis, Malaysia’s food and yum char sessions. Basically nothing much to miss. The living style should not be very much different from KL, I still can cheong K (Caker and Jim are very good K partner), watch movie (but no longer have cantonese movies, all canto movie will be translated to mandarin), blog, online chatting, shopping etc etc.

So, not much effect for those who are reading my blog. Kekeke. You might not even feel a thing. But one of my friend did say, “Your blog might be less interesting when you go Singapore, coz Singapore is boring.” Hmmm, let’s see.

I don’t know when will I be back, if very bad luck, found no jobs, then I come back find jobs lo, wont die.

If I get a job there, then my life will be easier and buying own house at Malaysia is never a dream liao. Gonna work harder a bit. Landlord has been telling us that he wanted to sell out his house now (we rent his house).

So, Wish me Luck, Friends. Thank you.

Last Day of work

I have been working in this company for 19 months, as old as my blog.

I still remember I started working here on 7th November 2005 and coincidently today is 7th also. Time flies!

Working at small scale company was quite relaxing, no politics, no enemy, everyone is friend and close. I enjoyed my days here. Colleagues keep changing, old one all resigned already, I am the most senior there already beside my boss. You should be able to see what is happening too, not going to further elaborate here.

Thanks to my boss who is lenient to us, never need to punch card for attendance, no restrict us from chatting online, as long as we do our job and get it done on time. He gave us freedom. This is what I like about my boss.

I also have happy days with my colleagues, they were all so nice to me. Last time Tracy and Madison always gave me ride to LRT station, brought me numerous place for lunch, encountered different experiences like met young flasher at lunch place, leg wide open lady during lunch, A bloody auntie at an aftermath accident etc etc.

After Tracy and Madison left the company, my lunch time never be the same again. Because my ‘new’ colleague - Jilei does not have a car therefore we can only have lunch nearby. But she is a very nice girl, always laugh at my stupid jokes, she likes to bring breakfast for me.

The path from LRT station to my office was quite dangerous, I met an old flasher before. Thankful that I never met robbery like what Lucifer(one of my readers) experienced. I can only protect myself with umbrella or pepper spray. I also experienced the flood at the LRT station, which make me almost cant go home.

I guess I will be missing all these priceless moments. You just can’t imagine, how this small company can give me some memories like this.

Thank you and Bye.

What is your priority?

Your health or career? Your health or study?

This two got me thinking a lot. Why my friend chose the other one over their health? When my friends told me about it, I am so worry about their health, but they rather delay the body checking and settle their jobs & exam first.

“Aiyah, after exam only I go body check lor”

“I concern about my job more than the health problem I have.” (after listening to your health report, I am relieve, you can concentrate more on your job.)

I am not trying to say they are wrong, they just put the priority to other party first. Not to say they have serious health problem also. They got me thinking, if I were put in their shoe, what would I choose? I probably thinking the same. Settle my exam first, or settle my job interview first, body check later.

Some people tend to procrastinate till the opportunity is gone, the time is limited.

I suppose we always think, “we are still young, still got time for everything.” “Cheh, I am so not look like sick cat, never mind, don’t worry. Nothing really went wrong. Just that I always headache and sometimes nose bleeding. Exam is more important now. I must concentrate on exam. I cant screw up my paper. Parents will kill me.”

I am really worry about you (you know who you are), yes you are young, but you really cant afford to lose your health. Please do a body checkup ASAP. If you screw up your paper, try again next time, wont die one. If you don’t love yourself, do it for the one who loves you. If you think ‘they’ don’t care, do it because a lot more people care about you. Headache and nose bleed sound so serious.

What’s lucky? I am glad that they share their worries, they did not keep it to themselves, else they will get depression!
