Double C – new vs old

It has been almost 2 years since I bought that wallet. The white color C has become grey color. Then the number of cards I m holding also increasing. Figured its time to change a new one. Since white C will become grey, I might as well just buy a grey color C! Haha!

The new wallet has 12 card pockets. It’s not the wallet with most pockets, but pretty much close to what I want.

It’s seasonal wallet. It may not have the same color for next season. It’s also cheaper that the old one!

Thanks Dear for always say yes to my ‘little’ request! Keke!

Blair is 16 weeks old

My breast milk supply has been dropping. I’ve been pumping only 2 times a day – before and after work. I’ve made this decision before I go back to work as I find it not convenient to pump at work. Firstly, there is no empty room at office, moreover I based at client’s office. Secondly, I find it not hygiene to pump at toilet, although my colleague did that before. Thirdly, pumping will require at least 30 minutes, I certainly do not hope to hear people complaining about me missing from work every 3-4 hourly. It’s not excuses, it’s reasons.

Anyway, Blair has not been fussy about the major switch from breast milk to formula. We have been using formula (S26) as supplement when I have not enough milk for her. The transition from 20% formula to 80% took about 1 week. She has been really good girl.

Brought Blair to her first hair cut on 11th June. We have not shave her during her full moon. Just didn’t want her to be hairless, that’s all. But in order to let her hair grow into better style/shape, we decided to trim her hair.

Blair was so sleeping during the hair cut. She was alright for the first 5 minutes, then she started to scream when the stylist trimming her hair. As a result, her hair were everywhere, on her and me. I was holding her. Hehe.

And now, she looks like a boy with squarish face ;p

Back to work

Finally I am back to work after 3 months of maternity leave. This also means Blair is now 3 months old. Well, almost!

Miss her so much during work, but it’s also great to back to work. Meeting more people and get back to work life. Although I have not direct breastfeeding for about 2 months, but I’ve been pumping breast milk for my precious. My supply could not really catch up with her demand probably due to the pumping frequency. I intended to pump lesser/stop pumping when I get back to work. But now I guess I can continue pumping till the day I decided to stop. It’s amazing that we do not have period during breastfeeding. Well, a lot of us do not know about this. Not even my mom in law.

Although I’ve been paying a lot of attention to Blair, but still managed to catch some movies, shopping, went for pedi medicure, short trip to Hong Kong, dinner with colleagues, etc.

Now I would like to jot down some amazing moments of Blair while I still remember. I know I’ll read this again in the future.

#. There was one time during lunch at Din Tai Fung with Hongkiat, our food was served, I talked and pat her to sleep because we want to eat. Usually she will take some time like 30 mins before getting into sleep. But amazingly, she close her eyes within 5 minutes. Then she woke up after we finish our meal. This was not the first time already. She was about 11 weeks old that time.

Some of Blair’s Developments

#1. She has been drooling a lot. I read that her saliva glands just become more active.

#2. She started to gee-gee goo-goo talk to us. Play with us a lot, wanted a lot of attention. :)

#3. She can sleep through the night without feeding, at least 6 hours long. I can have a good rest.

#4. She always look at her fists. Then will suckle them. The whole hand will become wet.

Now that I am back to work, I am worry that I’ll miss the first moment of her new development. Actually I kinda know I’ll miss most of them. It sadden me. I’ll have to adjust myself.

Side note: Company is applying new policy that caused at least of 10 people leaving. So sad. Sad that they are leaving, more sad that I am staying. Haha.

Happy Mother’s Day

This year is my first year to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Blair wore a new cloth to sleep last night. I think the color suits her very well. She look so adorable wearing it. It was a full moon gift from friend.

During full moon, we never shave or cut her hair. She did drop a bit of hair but new hair is growing already. :)

She also wore the cut mittens to sleep :p

She always posed like she wanna play boxing with us. We always wonder what is she thinking when she stares at her own hands posing like a boxer.

It was the first time we brought her out with new pram to have dinner at shopping mall. She look very exciting in the pram. She was so busy turning her head left and right to see what is surrounding.

Not sure if this is coincident, she was hungry and my mom in law feed her milk during the time I queue for table (at the restaurant). When we got our table, food were served within 15 minutes, and that was the time she finished her milk and went straight to sleep. Gave us a peaceful moment to have our Mother’s day dinner. Just when we finished our dinner, she woke up, and there was the time she busying looking around. That was our purpose brought her out, expose to public environment.

At the very same night, during her sleep, she cried and screamed which I never encounter before. Hopefully she was just having bad dreams and hungry, and not the reason – afraid of public.
