Countdown: 1 day

Haha, tomorrow will be the due date already.

She is still kicking hard and staying comfortably inside me. I guess she haven’t decide her birth date yet. Still no signs of labor.

Went for check up on Thursday (3 March). My gynae did a vaginal examination for me, no dilation yet, not even 1cm according to her. She asked to see her again next week, if still not deliver yet, will do induction.

After the check up, me and HK went look for the location of emergency clinic or at least knowing where to admit myself if I am in labor. Yea, I know it sound a bit late to only find out the location now, but still not toooooo late.

We also went for a baby pram shopping trip! Have been unintentionally look for pram during last few shopping, never really look into the functionality and usability  of those prams.

Finally we walked into a boutique which mainly selling maternity cloths and some baby stuff. They display quite a lot of different prams. The sales girl was quite helpful showing us different pram and its usability.

HK was interested in Pink color stroller because it looks really sweet, but it’s not really something closer to our ideal stroller. We would like to have a reverse handle, easy to push, light weight and easy to fold.

The brand combi does have something similar to our requirements. But the color is not favorable to HK. I once saw a very sweet pram at Taka and forwarded him the picture. It’s a MacLaren Juicy Couture stroller.

I know, it’s very sweet… so princess-y. Aw…

Anyway, we finally bought something closer to our requirements, without pink color. It was the Combi Urban Walker in dark grey. It will be delivered to us soon as they do not store the stock (not this color) in in shop.

Dearest baby, please decide your birth date a little faster. We can’t wait to meet you already! :D

Countdown: 6 days

No, I am still waiting for my precious to arrive.

My due date is 6th March. It’s not overdue yet. It’s just getting nearer. But I actually can’t wait already. Hehe.

Went to Kiddy Palace to buy more cloths for her. I know I know, babies outgrown very very fast, but I really buy too less for her last time, just 3 sets only, mixture of long and short sleeve. Not enough one, so bought a few more sets. :)

Took a few photos of myself, with my bowling tummy. It’s huge! I did not go for those artistic pregnancy photoshooting. Did have the intention initially, but I was such a procrastinator and the package was so expensive! So, gave up liao. Just few shoots like these for own memory.

I hope that’s not stretch mark. I din see that on mirror one? :( Why is it so obvious on the photo?

I also measured my tummy. It’s about 42inches!!! WAKAO! Scary! How do I reduce that after deliver?

Baby, I hope you gained enough weight to go thru the birth canal smoothly, not too big, not too small. I love you! Can’t wait too see you soon.

I kinda believe I’d cry the moment she is here.

Countdown: 9 days

Wow, single digit now! Counting down 9 days.

I gotto remember how huge I look now. I always say I wanna take a polaroid picture of my pregnant look but till date still haven take. I must make HK to take for me tomorrow.

HK and my mil have been busy relocating the furniture at home these few days. The living room, kitchen and our room have been looking more spacious now.

Baby’s playpen has now moved into our room. Looking cute sitting at the corner, waiting for my girl.

I’ve been discussing all the ‘pantang larang’ during confinement with MIL, the meals etc. Luckily she is not too pantang, but will still follow a little la, it’s ‘for my own good’. I am allow to bath and wash hair la. :p

Getting a lot of people asking me when I start to on leave, the answer is till the big day. But if I got a feeling when my girl is arriving, I will take leave ealier. Probably she will give me a sign before she arrives and I believe she will. :)

Baby, please give me a sign oh! Muaks!

Check-up #10

22 February 2011 (38 weeks)

Counting down 11 days now.

Went for my 10th check up yesterday. It was a quick one. Waited for almost an hour for our turn, but gynae only checked me for few minutes. Probably there’s nothing special, baby is healthy and I don’t have anything serious that requires attention.

Baby’s head is at correct position. I have enough amniotic fluid. Baby gained 0.5kg since last check up! That’s the greatest news of this check up. Last check up she was only 2.3kg. Although not to tiny according to gynae, but I hope she gained more. And guess what, she heard my prayer, so she really gained. I am so happy about it. Hehe.

My parent in law finally reach Singapore before my baby arrives! Baby really good girl listen to me. :)

I got the urge to measure the size of my ‘bowling ball’. I am going to do that in a while. Want to find out how many inches is my tummy now. Haha.

Baby, you may arrive anytime now whenever you are ready. Can’t wait to see you!

Countdown: 14 days

My mom in law will be coming to Singapore next Wednesday. She has quit her job to look after us in Singapore. Not only me and baby, but her children also la. Everyone is happy that she is coming here to stay with us.

After organizing the baby cart, I realized that I don’t have enough newborn cloths. I am going to buy few more pieces for her.  There were cloths that I bought which kinda oversize for newborn. I did not notice the those were for baby around 6kg. Haha.

I need to learn how to sterilize bottles. Bought the sterilizer but not sure how to operate it. Also the breast pump that pass down from my aunt. I totally have non idea how to use it. I should buy new spare parts to replace my aunt’s breast pump because it’s unhygienic to share. Breast pump is expensive and it might not be too useful if I can’t/intend to breastfeed for long.

My grandma, aunt, mom and brother will be coming to Singapore too. But it will be after baby is born. So exciting now. Imagining how life is going to change after arrival of our baby.

I shall find out more what is not done yet. I’ve already prepared a luggage that is packed with what I needed for hospital stay. HK thinks it’s a bit kua jeong but the luggage is now 80% full because the cordlife box (to collect baby’s cordblood and stem cell) has occupied quite some space.

Baby, I hope you gain more weight by the time you arrive to the world. Muaks!
